Become a Sponsor of the Safe Kids Charity Shoot

May 6th, 2008.

On September 20, 2008, Hill ’n Dale Club will host the SAFE KIDS Sporting Clays Charity Event to benefit the Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital Injury Prevention Center. “Get on Target for Child Safety” and become a sponsor for this charity event that will help support the Center’s newest injury prevention program, which focuses on safe transportation of children with special medial needs in motor vehicles. Conventional car seats and seat belts are not enough to protect these fragile children from additional trauma—they require specialized seats that can be hard to find and extremely expensive, ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars. In some surgical cases, these specialized seats are only needed for a short time, placing additional financial hardship on these families. As home of the only special needs car seat program in Northeast Ohio, Rainbow provides specialized car seats and motor vehicle restraints on a loaner basis or at a reduced cost for children who are injured or have physical or developmental problems.

Hill ’n Dale Club is stepping forward to support Rainbow by hosting this Sporting Clays Charity Event; event proceeds and donations are used entirely to fund Rainbow’s injury prevention outreach programs and are not used to pay staff salaries.

In an effort to raise additional funding to support and expand the injury prevention programs offered through Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, I am asking you to consider making a donation to the charity event by becoming the Event Title Sponsor or a Gold, Silver, Bronze or Station sponsor with your tax-deductible charitable gift of $10,000, $1,000, $750, $500 or $200 respectively, or consider donating a raffle item to be used at the charity event to raise funds and attract participants. If you could aid in supporting Rainbow’s Injury Prevention Center, please consider their cause for this charitable donation. Please make your tax-deductible check payable to the Rainbow Injury Prevention Center and mail it directly to them in the envelope provided.

We are excited about this opportunity to help Rainbow develop their Special Needs Transportation program and to demonstrate how sports enthusiasts and injury prevention advocates can work together to promote our sport and protect children and families. I hope you will join us in this effort and consider becoming a sponsor of this fun charity event. For more information on the safety programs offered by Rainbow call Ken Taylor, charity event coordinator and Injury Prevention Technician, at 216-983-1112.
