As part of International Walk to School Week and Rainbow’s Safe Routes to School Project, Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital will be hosting a Photovoice art gallery in Tremont on Friday, October 10 between 6pm – 10pm. The gallery is part of the Tremont Art Walk.
To better understand pedestrian safety issues, Safe Kids Greater Cleveland and the Rainbow Injury Prevention Center worked with local students to capture on film the neighborhoods surrounding our schools. The results of this project are presented here in photographs and words to encourage discussion about improving the walking environment for children.
The Photovoice Project is about giving children a voice – using their ideas, pictures and words – to express themselves about their daily walking experience and to advocate for change.
