21st Century Car Seat Distribution
21st Century Auto Insurance partnered with Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital and Safe Kids Greater Cleveland to distribute and replace child safety seats to children in the Cleveland area in need of child restraints. The event took place at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
During the four-hour event we broke last year’s record by distributing and installing 302 new car seats donated by 21st Century Insurance. In fact, we set a new record for 21st Century Insurance events nationwide.
Having a weight and age-appropriate child safety seat that is properly installed and used is the single most effective means of preventing injuries to children in motor vehicle crashes, yet the Zoo event brought home to all of us the reality of just how many children are still traveling in the wrong car seats, seats that are improperly installed, or even in no child restraints at all.
This event would not have been possible without the generosity and support of the child safety seat technicians who gave up a beautiful Saturday to help us. With their help, we were able to keep families moving quickly through the event and have the satisfaction of knowing that so many children are now safer on Cuyahoga County roadways than they were before.

Caution! These car seats have been recalled and are not safe...thankfully, 21st Century Insurance, Rainbow, and the Greater Cleveland Safe Kids Coalition were able to provide children with brand new seats.
