Child Passenger Safety Week Activities
2.1.2007 - The Rainbow Injury Prevention Center and Safe Kids Greater Cleveland are turning National CPS Week into CPS Month. The theme this year is "Safety In and Around Cars." Rainbow is partnering with WKYC and Carstar for a "Buckle your Beautiful Baby" contest. WKYC.com will stream PSAs throughout February. A PSA will air on WVIZ's "PBS Kids" programming block. We will also make two promotional appearances on WKYC's "Good Company" show.
Technician Breakfast
2.1.2007 - In celebration of Child Passenger Safety Month, we will also host a technician appreciation breakfast at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital on Wednesday February 14 at 9:00 am. To RSVP, contact Tracey Stehura.
CPS Legislation
1.4.2007 - Your child passenger safety advocacy efforts paid off last month when the governor signed Sub. HB 343 on January 4, 2007. Thanks to everyone who sent our postcards to their legislators and encouraged friends, neighbors, and co-workers to speak out. The new law requires all children ages 4 to 15 to be restrained in a car seat or seat belt when transported in a motor vehicle. It also eliminates the non-resident exemption from child restraint law.
