Car Seat Distribution for Low-income Families
Rainbow's Injury Prevention Center offers a car seat program for eligible Cuyahoga County residents. To be eligible you must meet the following requirements:
- Receiving government assistance - WIC, HEAP, CHIP, etc.
- State Issued ID - Driver's license or State Issued ID
- $30.00 Co-pay - CASH ONLY - Checks will not be accepted
- Vehicle in which to install the seat in (must be present)
This program is usually held the second Monday of every month. Classes are from 9:00 - 10:30 pm on designated dates below. All classes are held in the Rainbow Performance Area. Please park in the Adelbert Road parking garage, located next to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital's main entrance. Take the elevators down to the lower level (LL) and follow the signs to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. The Performance Area is just past the reception desk.
To register call the CarSeat Hotline at 216-844-2277 and choose option #1. Pre-registration is necessary. Class size is limited. Please give the following information when registering:
- Your first and last name
- Telephone number
- Age and weight of your child/children
- Due Date if you are pregnant
